These days I can put it in the oven and then run errands or work on other projects around the house. I always add the extra can of water because I like moist rice. Bake 350 uncovered for About hour 20 min. Then sprinkle worth one bag dry onion soup mix. Follow directions but dip chicken in butter or margarine. I was intrigued by the title, and then reading about it I found it is a recipe that is assembled and then baked without any attention for 2 1/2 hours. I use a whole cut up chicken and remove skin. Cover and bake at 350 for 2 hours or until a thermometer reads 180 and rice is tender. Top with chicken sprinkle with onion soup mix. When I was working full time and trying to put dinner on the table every night I was always looking for meals I could put together either before work, or during my lunch hour and then cook them in the oven or in a crock pot while I was working so I could come home to dinner already done.
